THRIVE NYC has failed to provide transparency and results. With another $1Billion in funds approved for the program over the next 5 years, there is an opportunity to correct course. MyThrive.NYC offers NYers a transparent directory for the 19% of funds headed to those who need the most help: the seriously mentally ill
The political leadership in NYC is so focused on sowing division that it refuses to see the programs that are working successes. Despite fairly little commitment in terms of budget allocation, there are quite a few programs that are working towards achieving adequate treatment of the seriously mentally ill, a growing population. In accordance with the mission of expanding the good in NYC, MyThrive.NYC is a public service directory freely provided to the people of New York City. It is a response to the shortcomings of THRIVE NYC, a government program that intended to address mental health crises in NYC. On MyThrive.NYC, we will highlight the great programs that successfully treat the seriously ill and afflicted, as well as offer recommendations for Thrive's realigned focus. It is our hope that by 2022 this directory will no longer need to be provided by concerned citizens and instead will be monitored and supported by a government that provides increased treatment to those who need it the most.
